Yesterday at 12h00 I did a sim swop and upgraded my contract.By 09h00 this morning my new sim was STILL not activated. After phoning Mtn several times to find out what was happening since yesterday (my wife's new sim was activated within 3 hours), costing ME time and money I found out that the sim I was given was faulty and I had to get another one. NO-ONE from MTN bothered to let me know. I swopped that sim for another new one this morning at 09h10 and AM STILL WAITING FOR IT TO BE ACTIVATED. MTN just don't care, their call centre is NOT service oriented, all they keep banging on is that you have to wait 24 hours. Is it MY fault the sim was faulty, now I have been waiting almost 30 hours for my sim to be activated. I cannot understand it. It is not the Mtn branch's fault because they get the SAME BAD SERVICE from Mtn service provider as we do!!! With all this technology we are left to their devices and they treat us as though they are doing us a big favour. WHYYY!!!??? The worst thing is they WON'T phone us, their client, back, not even an sms to keep us in the loop. NO COURTESY! I am disgusted with this service.
