Sold us damaged phone and bad attitude

Recently we went and upgraded my sister's cellphone at the MTN Store in Edenvale at the Hyperama centre. When we got home we found that the Apple iPhone 4s that had been given to us had previously been opened and further more damaged... there is a chip on the phone. On closer inspection of the box we noticed that the earphones were also missing from the box. We immediately contacted the store where we were told "Sorry we cannot do anything about that as we do not know if you dropped it". After repeated arguments it became clear that MTN do not care about their customers so we eventually relented as it became clear that we are getting nowhere. My sister then called the branch this morning to enquire when she is getting her replacement earphones as she had not heard from the store in over a month. The branch manager, Alicia Booysens, took the call. I am completely dumbstruck that she had the arrogance not only to scream at my sister but to also blame her for the events. Is this how MTN treat their customers?
