Weak signal for cellphone

Hi MTN, please see if you can get my signal corrected. I live in Blue Hills, Midrand and work in Dainfern, Fourways. Both my blackberry and sony xperia are on MTN contracts, however I don't get a signal as good on the xperia as on the blackberry, even when they are right next to each other. A lot of times I won't get any signal at all... emergency calls only. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
