I have twice emails MTN notifying them that I intend converting two of my contracts to pay as you go on their expiry next month and asking them to acknowledge receipt on my mail. No response.

I phoned them on 16 May at 8.10 and spoke to Ashwin who says there is no record of my cancellation notice but that it is not a problem. All I have to do is call them the day after my contracts expire and they will convert them to pay as you go it doesn't matter about the one month notice period. I don't believe this and cannot get it in writing. The bonus is that when I cancel my data bundle which is useless because the reception is so bad in my area (Vodacom is excellent) I will lose my carry over units for which I have already paid.

The worst is no one at MTN cares
