I am a Vodacom customer since 1998. Over the last 2 years the signal has deteriorated progressively to a point where I cannot have a conversation without dropping the call at least four times. I have complained to 082155 on many occasion and I was told that they need to upgrade or build a new tower to strengthen the signal. Does this imply that they have continued to add customers so that there is major congestion. I pay a minimum of R1199 per month for a service I cannot use, I have just renewed my contract a month ago. This is a problem with voice and data.
Sometimes the call centre agents are helpful but usually not. The one I talked with today said there was no records of my complaints, which angered me even further. Should I report Vodacom to the Consumer council, they should not be allowed to treat a 15 year customer relationship with such contempt. all he had to do was look at my call records and he would have seen the 082155 calls.
