Didn't change my contract when they upgraded my co

Vodacom upgraded my phone in January but didn't change my contract to data. I have been dealing with vodacom for the last 3 months about this issue. They say they have given me a R3000 credit, but they used it for last months bill so there is no credit left. This months bill is the first month on my proper tariff and it is R957.41.
They have billed me over R8000 rand this February. If I use this months bill which is on the correct tariff and times it by 4 months its a lot less than what i have paid. I credit they gave me doesnt add up at all
