I called Cell C end April to apply for & be approved for an iPhone 5 on Anytime 200 for R399.
It was approved & I told the consultant to submit everything & get the docs in order but just don't activate yet, as I had to wait for my MTN contract to end on 13 May.

She repeatedly told me everything was in order, she would just submit the port request as soon as the number was available and then account would be active.
I called her again on 14 May to tell her to go ahead.

I was then informed it now costs R100 more a month for exactly the same thing. I am really angry about this. I spoke to the consultant at least 6 times during those couple of weeks - why was I not informed that the contract would no longer be available at the same price in May? I find that completely unacceptable.

And on top of it all, I've now cancelled the MTN and my number has now been moved to pre-paid. I did this only for the port. Thanks to Cell C and their dishonourable behaviour and shocking service, I'll now have to reapply at MTN again instead of just upgrading. I am beyond annoyed at this inconvenience - how can you treat potential customers like this!
