Sold me PINGD without authorisation

On 3 May 2013 I received a phone call from an Mweb Pingd telesales consultant by the name of Roshana / Romana. Without being rude I stopped her and explained I am more than happy with my current ISP and am not interested in any other offers. She proceeded to disconnect the call without saying goodbye.

Subsequen to tis I received an SMS thanking me "for my interest in Pingd" and confirming they will "keep me updated on their great specials.". I immediately called the Pingd call centre and spoke to an operator who confirmed that an order has been placed against my name and number, and will be removed later the day. I was told I will receive an SMS to confirm the cancellation.

I am still waiting on this SMS, and for all I know I am still listed as a customer on Pingd. It is absolutely shocking that a supposedly reputable company can a) authorise subscriptions without my express consent and b) delay in letting a customer know that this has been cancelled.

I will be scrutinizing my bills at the end of the month, and if ANY deductions for Pingd or Mweb are made this month there will be to pay.
