VODACOM CHARGE FOR DATA THAT THEY CANNOT QUANTIFY

Dear Peter,

I recieved a data Bill on my Mobile phone account in excess of R5000 in April. I have an iphone 500S data package which suits me just fine, and I never go over that limit. I am also convinced that the excess data has been billed to my account in error.

I went through to the customer service centre in Canalwalk with my Bill in hand requesting an explanation for the data bill. I was promptly told that my query woudl be logged on their system and their Data Audit team would be contacting me within 14 days to quantify the bill, as the Guest Service centre was not able to.

I was also advised that If I did not pay the amount in question, I stood the risk of Vodacom shutting my services down, as I use the phone for business purposes this is not an option.

We promptly Paid the amount that we are not in agreement with and 20 days later I am still waiting for someone to make contact.

I am sure that my rights as far as the CPA have been severely compromised here?? Please help??
