Having my own bussiness and an average monthly Vodacom account of R6k, i expect only the best service of Vodacom.
My problem: 2 of my sim cards registered with Vodacom is used in my alarm system and programmed for sending sms's to my phone only in case alarm is activated. These 2 simcards each received thousands of computer generated sms's from Vodacom since November 2012. The alarm system responded to those sms's without me knowing it. The amount Vodacom debited my account with end Dec 2012 included more than R9k for sms's wrongfully sent and the amount that is about to be debited end Jan 2013 includes sms's of about R12k.
To solve this problem turned out to be a nightmare. I called Vodacom Customer Care (111) only to be given a reference number and a promise that someone will cal me within 24hr's. When i received no calls i phoned a second time and the same promises were made. Since no one called me again, I drove 450km to the nearest Vodashop in Cape Town only to hear that the only way is calling 111.
I called again this morning (8 days after I logged the dispute) and same promises were made. Nobody has called me yet.
Does Vodacom want me to pay and shut up?
