A Pearl Mchumu from Durban call centre called on 30 April 2013 to offer me an upgrade on my phone stating that if I hadn't received my delivery by 6 May to find out on the progress on the delivery of my phone, and to speak to her directly. I managed to get through to her, and she said that she would phone me back, to date, nothing.
Spoke to a Tammy Pillay this morning 7 May 2013 who said she would log a call for Pearl to phone me back, as Pearl was not anywhere to be found. It is now 3:32 she still hasn't phone me back. I phoned again at 2:30 this afternoon (7 May) to end up speaking to a very helpful Bradley Marion who said that he would get the durban call centre supervisor to call me by 3pm. Well, it is now 3:35 pm, still no call from either the supervisor nor the elusive Pearl Mchumu, who apparently is very conscientious at taking her tea and lunch breaks.
I have landed up speaking to a Chris Estrice who has managed to get the problem resolved, hopefully it would appear (holding thumbs) that I will get my phone on Thursday.
Come on MTN, your call centre is letting the image of your company down, and unfortunately it only takes 1 person as the face of MTN to do so...
