In January 2010 I received a call from Altech autopage cellular, which said that I can get a contract for R199 per month. They have voiced logged the call and said that the contract and cellular phone would be couriered. I did received the phone but no contract. The first payment was R336, 55 and then went up to R453, 40 in Nov 2011. in Jan 2011 I went to the branch at Clearwater and queried the fact that it was over R199 per month and instructed them to capped the account on R200, It just went up and up again. I said to them after 17 of the 24 month contract that I am stopping the debit order. I received calls from Altech legal department and I within my rights requested the following documentation that I have NEVER received.1) Copy of the signed contract: 2) in terms for FICA rules a copy of the voice logg within 7 working days of request, never received it, 3) Never received 1 statement to date, 4) why is my name on ITC for R1850, but they want now R6583.44? 4) the debt collectors VVM acknowledge that they have many cases where the final contract value is different from the agreed cost? They just do not care and ignore my rights completely, they are contravening the Fica and Fais
