SMS application not agreed on- no way out

I have been receiving random messages form the following MTN number since last week 278339067312313. I did not sign up to any applications or give the number, or whoever is in control of it, permission to send me 'messages' and deduct R4 from my account everyday. I can't find any sort of customer support from MTN (My service provider) for a situation of this nature. Ultimately; I am being charged for a service/application I did not sign up for or give anyone permission to. Please help - this is terribly frustrating and inconvenient.
