Failure to call back or respond to cancel contract

On 22/01/2014 I telephonically requested a cancellation of the month to month contract upon expiry of the 3 year contract to find that money was deducted from my account on 01/02/2014. I visited Rosebank Gym on 02/02/2014 and was informed that Ulanda will only be at work on Monday (03/02/2014. I left a message for Ulanda to call me and provided a summary of the problem I was faced with. On 03/02/2014 I did not get a call from Ulanda and tried hourly from 09H00 to get hold of her with no success with only promises that she will call me back as she was busy with other customers. At 13H00 I called and was informed that she decided to go on lunch. I tried to speak to the manager, Rishen, with no success. Up until now (04/02/2014 19H20) I did not get a response from Planet Fitness Rosebank. I am of the opinion that this is an easy manner for them to meet financial targets at the expense of clients as there would be no reason to avoid the matter. It would be interesting to know how many other people have similar experiences with this supplier.
