I recently e-mailed Virgin active expressing my intention to cancel my contract. I took the time to explain that the reason for the cancellation was no fault of theirs but rather because I had moved. To date, I have not had a response. I have heard so many horror stories about Virgin Active Black-listing people so wanted to ensure that I went about things in the correct manner. After sending my e-mail, I was assured that I would be contacted in 3- working days. 15 days later, and I have not been contacted, despite numerous attempts to follow up on the status of my query. I signed a one year contract, which has now expired, and even though I moved in July, I have been paying as required (as it was a full year contract). Since then, I have received an e-mail from virgin instructing me that I would face penalties if I did not go to gym another 28 times before the end of the month. It seems virgin are on the ball when it comes to billing, but cant help with very much else.
