Owe money after cancellation

I cancelled my contract in 2012 and received an sms in september 2013 to say I have been handed over for an outstanding amount. I queried this the same day and got told they dont know why I was handed over and that they will get back to me. I went into the branch and got shown my account where everything was in order but there was a. Outstanding balance in current and 30 days but my contract was cancelled. The branch said they could not help me I had to contact head office which I did again and got told they will get back to me. Two months later I receive a letter saying in 21 days further action will be taken against me. I called again and got told I will be sent a statement still waiting! They are incompetent and rude! If people cant do their jobs they shouldnt be employed!
