I received a complimentary voucher to train for the day. I was assisted by a Sales person by the name of Brady Javan. He convinced me to sign a contract. I was told that once I signed the contract I had five working days to cancel it. I wasn't happy about being told I needed to find someone to replace my contract. He said he would personally find someone to replace my contract.
I signed up with Planet Fitness on Friday 26th of October 2007, for a 36 months period.
As it got closer to the five day cancellation period, I realised it wasn't going to work out for me. I had an option to attend another gym that was closer to my house.
On Tuesday the 30th of October I went to the Plattekloof branch at 17:05 to cancel my contract. I was told that the Service department was only open between 08:00 - 17:00. The receptionist told me to put in writing that I want to cancel my contract and faxed the letter to 086 6121 448.
I faxed a written cancellation letter dated on Wednesday 31st of October 2007 at 15:44 to the above number. I phoned and requested to speak to Brady. I was told he was on leave. I then spoke to Wesley in the Administration office to confirm that they
