Debit Orders after 3 years

I was a member of Planet Fitness about 3 years ago. As per the contract, I sent them a month's notice to cancel via email. They kept debiting my account. I wrote to them, again cancelling my contract, emailed it, faxed it, and took it to the branch in Jan Smuts Avenue, Craighall personally. Eventually I put a stop order on the debit order since they kept deducting it. Sometime after that, they stopped debiting my account.
Now, over 3 years later, they've started debiting my account again. I can't get hold of anyone who can tell me what's going on, they don't return my calls, and I can't put a stop order on the debit. They change the reference and amounts every time.
I have NOT opened a new contract, I did NOT agree to these payments, and I want my money back. Legally, I gave them my notice, and should have been released from my contract over 3 years ago.
