Over the last 2 months, without notification nor consent, Planet Fitness has taken it upon themselves to debit 4 amounts of 250.00 against an account dating back to 2007.
Since 2007, I have received only one statement, which I queried and this was ignored. Now, 2 years later, debits are suddenly going off my account twice a month.

I have contacted Planet Fitness Head Office, and had a meeting with the Rivonia branch manager requesting the debits be stopped until I have proof of the validity of these debits. I also asked for a copy of the original contract, which they can't seem to find. That was a month ago. After numerous emails and complaints I have received nothing back - but the debits keep going off with regularity even though I have requested that these stop until I have some kind of confirmation as to their validity. Worse, the accrued amounts taken account for only a 10th of what they claim is owing.

The manager, though courteous, admitted to the on-going internal systems and accounts problems; but is unable to do anything about it. Not even to detail for me why it is that I am being debited in the first place. But I'm expected to pay twice a month without consent?!!
