Confused

I open a gym account 2011 late, i never go there to gym ever since because i didn't got time.so today i got surprise when the was debit order on my account, i am a student how can they take money when its been to long not taking it and i no longer stay where i used to stay, i tried to call them the is no answer i want to cancel my membership and please next time when you want clients explain everything nothing must be left out.
