After 4 YEARS they claim I owe them money

How convenient - i cancelled my contract in 2010! 2 emails sent to cancel and received no response. I would have expected someone to contact me by then to inform me that my account is in 'arrears' and assist me with my cancellation. In stead, 4 years later they decide to contact me out of the blue claiming i owe them money and my details have been handed over! This is BS! No attempts to contact me what so ever! How am i supposed to request bank statements after 4 years to proof that i am not in arrears? This is very unprofessional service and feel like I'm being taken for a fool. I will take this further if i am being held accountable!
