Sales people tell when taking out contract

In 2012 I paid upfront for what I was told was a 5 year contract. I did not know whether I would be moving to Durban where there is no gym and was told there was no risk as the contract would be easy to sell (they would help) and there was only a R795 transfer fee to pay. I now need to sell the contract and am told that they cannot help sell it and that it will cost half the price of the original payment to transfer. and that it is a 3 year contract! They all seem to know and accept that it was standard practice to tell people that the transfer is easy and only costs R795 but they do not seem to care or acknowledge that it is unethical for sales people to to their customers. I have now heard that many people are in my predicament. it seems that Planet Fitness are one of the most unethical companies in the country. It is important to make sure as many people as possible know this.
