I am completely horrified by the level of service I have received from this gym with regards to cancelling my contract. I requested cancellation from the branch at which I initially joined, and all the assistants could do was quote me a reference number and inform me that someone from the gym will be in contact with me shortly. Two weeks passed with no one being interested in following up with my cancellation. I later sent the manager of the branch a mail regarding this cancellation, and still nothing. It is only when I went onto the website to complain that someone from Head Office finally got into contact with me, and quoted me a settlement fee which I had to pay within 7 days? That is completely unreasonable. In the meantime while all of this is going on, the gym keeps on happily debiting my account, not only with the monthly premium, but also with an additional R20? If a certain process has to be followed for cancellations, inform your front desk assistants of this process so they can be equipped to relay the message to the members who wish to cancel instead of wasting our time with reference numbers which mean nothing at the end of the day. This is poor service at its best.
