On July 25th I got a phone call from Cherise from Planet Fitness Aurora. (NB: she contacted me!) I told her I am not interested in a membership from Aurora club as I live 2min from the Plattekloof Club. She told me that I could join at Aurora and then convert my membership to Plattekloof. As easy as that! I asked her what the catch was, since it was a good deal. She assured me there was no catch. Conversion to Plattekloof could be done easily with no extra fees! I was excited, signed the contract and paid R444 upfront

I was told I would be contacted when membership was confirmed and conversion to Plattekloof had occurred. For the past 7 WEEKS I phoned THEM regularly just to hear that "Head office is taking long to approve".

Last week I phoned, once again, to cancel the contract as it is taking way too long and ask for refund. I was told that they have been trying to cancel the contract this whole time as conversion can't be done and that they "don't want any more drama"! Why were they not upfront and honest with me?! How can they sell me a contract that can't be approved?! And under false pretenses?! And now it is a lengthy process to get refunded... if I ever do get a refund!
