Shameful Dishonesty! passing off of obselete stock

My husband approached the store manager on Wed last week for a porcelain tile that was on promotion, and was told that there was no stock but a consignment would be ordered and should arrive by today, 30 April. He rec a call on Friday last week informing him that the tiles had arrived. Amazing that it arrived two days after the order was placed! He went in to pay for and collect them yesterday, only to find that the finish on the tile was completely diff to what we had requested. He was then told that we need to buy tile cleaner to get the tiles to a gloss like the sample that we had seen. I have never heard of such rubbish! When he went back to the manager, he told my husband that we need to pay a higher price for the tile we had initially ordered. This to me was passing off of obselete stock and was very dishonest. It brings the values of the company into disrepute. I'm extremely disappointed with this service and will definitely be letting all my friends know how dishonest Tile Africa is.
