On the 27th & 28th April my promotional company had a promotion through another food company at Checkers all across KZN. The promotion was a bit of a problem as not all Checkers' managers were given a proper brief and only emails were sent out and not confirmed, however all the managers (except one) where extremely helpful and set up something for the promotional staff.
Grant van Rooyen, the manager of Checkers at Cascades was extremely and inappropriately rude. I spoke to him over the phone while my promoter was with him and he didn't even take a second to hear what I had to say, which was extremely disrespectful, considering it is his store, he should be interested and he cannot as a manager be rude instead be accommodating and solve a problem if there is one. He just started screaming rudely over the phone and saying he doesn't have time for nonsense and slammed the phone down. I work with many managers and he has to be the rudest I have come across. A manager should be a peoples person and if he didn't have time to deal with the problem, he could have been decent about it. I would like Checkers to contact me regarding this.
