Service cancelled without notification - Appliance

Shops, Products, Services

I finally get the number for the Total Guard for my Appliance insurance, after much frustration, only to find out that the service has been cancelled due to an "Overdue Account" - which was paid in full within 1 day of the following statement - and was just an oversight by myself as I had paid my December account earlier than usual and thought I had paid the January Account.

So the policy was cancelled without any notification. And after speaking to 2 different call centre ladies, they told me that if the account is in arrears, it automatically gets cancelled. I would understand that if my account was in arrears for an extended period. But my main frustration is that I have to give 30 days notice to cancel, so surely I should have the same courtesy in order to rectify the situation? I should have been contacted and given 30 days notice.

I believed I had the service - now I need to make a claim and I am told I no longer have the service after years of paying a premium!

I am told by the Call Centre agents that I can re-activate the plan - but if I do that I will have to wait another 3 months before I can make a claim - so how will this help me?! Totally frustrated still!
