Returns Policy

I bought a pair of pants about a month ago and kept the tag in case I changed my mind about them, I tried them on over the weekend and the fit wasn't right so I tried to return them for another size. I was told that they cant do an exchange without a receipt so now I'm stuck with ill fitting pants. The pants are clearly brand new and in the same condition I bought them in, I feel that the policy is a bit strict because I cant be the only one who doesn't hang onto my receipts. I dont want my money back, I just want a smaller size.
