Great customer service on a low turn over item

I recently ordered a keg of Guinness (which is a very low turn over stock item) from Makro in Strubensvalley. It is such a low turn over items that only Strubensvalley sell these kegs. No other Makro store (closer to Sandton where I live) has even tried to assist me with this item. Rean Slabbert from Makro Strubbensvalley was willing to make a plan to obtain the product at relatively short notice when I initially called. When the delivery by the supplier was delayed for a few days, Rean regularly updated me. He then went the extra mile to arrange free drinking glasses from the supplier to make up for the late delivery.

I generally consider Makro as store that only trades in products which sell in large quantities, so you either take what is on the shelf or you leave the store. Rean's willingness to assist shows that Makro can actually compete with more specialised stores.
