Keep your promise out of principle

I was raised to always keep a promise but nowadays I feel like the only one sticking to this principle. Like, just the other day I excitedly tried checkers's new coupon app, but like new technology it did not work. I love innovation but when it involves using a secure access point to enter a pin that needs to be approved just for 50c off a bag of dog food, then I feel that you have missed the point of giving discounts. Maybe stick to the ones printed on newspaper, at least they don't get rejected and also assist in the development of fine motor skills when you get to cut them out. I complained to Checkers directly and helped them in their debugging process over a series of phone calls, from their complaints to their technical department. They also promised me a voucher to compensate for the whopping great savings that I missed out on during their app malfunction. I am still waiting for my voucher. Keep your promise out of principle, I know the electricity used to write this complaint is worth more than the value on that voucher but If you can't deliver on a small promise like this, how are you ever going to fulfill a promise of better savings, better quality and better service
