I am a regular customer of Gateway. On Saturday 6 April my family went to play ten pin bowling at Gateway. The music in the bowling alley was extremely loud and resembled a night club. My family were barely able to hear each other talk without having to scream. I politely asked the gentleman on floor duty if the volume could be reduced. He said he would speak to the office and see what could be done, but that he didn't think the volume could be reduced. After a few minutes he got back and said that nothing could be done.

I found this unacceptable. This is a family bowling alley and not a night club. Music should not be played at a level where it becomes uncomfortable. The noise levels were unacceptable to the point that our ears were ringing for a while after departing. I understand the consumer psychology behind making the place unbearable is to turnover customers. That is very underhanded and unacceptable. Gateway management it is your responsibility to investigate this matter as you need to protect your customers from uncaring tenants and their incompetent staff. Please comply with public health and safety standards.
