Not knowing what their promotions are about

Walking into Jet Canal Walk I notice they are running a "double your loyalty points" promotion. So I make a purchase with my "Thank You" points. At the tills I ask if the points on the slip has already been doubled? I am told the promotion is to EARN double points. So Aslam, the manager, could also not answer me. I ask him to please find out while I run to another store. When I return he is busy with a client so I wait patiently. He finishes up only to tell me that the cashier will explain to me what the promotion is about. (obviously customers are not important). Cashier goes on to explain that the promotion is about EARNING double points. At this point I walk out because out of all the unemployed people in South Africa Edcon has employed a group of them who clearly cant READ. The complaint centre also cant answer me & I am told I have zero points (not according to my till slip). 3 calls later i get an answer & explanation that it has been doubled from the 2nd to prepare for the promotion. So when i was in the store on the 3rd my slip was showing the incorrect amnt of points. Well done Edcon incompetent staff, misleading information & no feedback in 48hrs. Still waiting.
