Robbed from double points

I visited the store and wanted to use my points on my account to purchase goods. It was advertised all over the store that if I used my points on the day it would be worth double the value, however when I got to the till, I was told that I would only be allocated the doubled amount on my next statement. I questioned this as the advertising in the store stated otherwise and I was told that my points would be used at that point and then I would get the same amount of points credited back to me on my next statement. I have since then not been allocated the promised points. I visited the same store today to enquiry and was told that I've used my points already and that I'm not entitled to the points. I feel that I'e been robbed and misled by the advertising as well as by the store assistant. Edgars you owe me and this should have come from my debit balance instead of me owing you more.
