Poor attitude to custome

I bought a plastic container on 19thMarch, got home 10 minutes later to find it had shattered. Had also bought a glass one at Boardmans, put both on the back seat andthe glass one was fine. Returning the container the assistant told me I had signed a quality check, canister was not bubblewrapped. I contacted @Home Head Office Customer Care via e-mail (still waiting for a response) Finally contacted Gateway@Home, they promised Ms. Govender would contact me Sat.30th March. Nothing happened til I rang today and was told about Company policy again. Looking at the HelloPeter website it is a wonder that anyone still shops at @Home with this shocking lack of caring for the customer. Why do we put up with this attiitude as South Africans? The least they could have done was arranged for someone senior to meet me at the shop to discuss it. I am a 70 year old grandmother, had only myself in the car, why on earth would I have damaged the container I had just bought? My Garden Club, Probus Club, Walking Club, Book Club, Retired Teachers Assoc. will all be informed of this incident. How on earth does this firm stay in business???
