MARKHAM's CREDIT DEPARTMENT IS USELESS

A account was opened on my name. None of the details per the relevant credit check matched the account information. I was told that I owed R 11, 000. When I explained that I had not opened the account, they requested that I complete an affidavit and this would be resolved. This was done on the 18th of February. Markhams decided during March to blacklist me, even after I provided all information that was requested, and no further communication was provided to me requesting more information.

Now due to this ridiculous behaviour on their part, I can not open any credit related accounts until they finalise the issue, which per discussion can take up to 4 months. This is so unfair on the part of the consumer that did absolutely nothing in this regards, and was willing to assist with any information they may have requested.

Also I was not informed that I was going to be blacklisted, as they knew the information per the account was incorrect, and they had my cell number to contact me if they were going to do this. This account was under investigation, and thus blacklisting is inappropriate.

Do not open an account from them.
