Payments and interest

Got a call saying I did not pay my R200 as agreed, pls check records, payed on 17/12/12 already. They also informed me that my balance is now over R9000, saying that my little bit I am paying is not helping. How can the interest be so much? Why can't they freeze this account for me to be able to pay it off, what is the use I am paying then? All other places I have arrangements with do not add any more interests on? So I initially owed just over R3500, then it went up to over R8000 with interest, I been paying and now over R9000? This is unacceptable, there must be a way to resolve this for me to pay off what I can afford? Should I rather take this matter up with the Ombudsman?? And stop phoning me to my work number!!! Please e-mail me a statement also. I need to get this payed off and are not willing to pay forever. You are the only people with so much nonsense!
