How can I be charged the same Interest?

@ first i thought this was a good idea but now i am having second thoughts cos this is useless. I started noticing that i am charged the same interest lately on this bluebean credit card even though i am paying more than whats required. I am supposed to pay R220 per month Interest pm but me being a good sport i am paying R400 and still the interest charged remains the same. It doesnt make sense and this is just nonsense.

the call centre agents are just cos they cant explain or rectify how come thats possible cos when one pays the balance brought forward then the balance should decrease and the interest charged also must decrease not remain the same.
