No reward for loyalty whatsoeve

So I have been a paying customer at Edgars, now Edcon, for over 15 years. I have run into financial difficulty over the last three months, being unemployed etc. BUT STILL MANAGED TO PAY AT LEAST A R1000 on an installment varying between R1200 and R1400. I received a call from the collection centre sometime in February whereby I was forced to promise to pay the full installment plus arrears by no later than 4 March 2013. I made it clear that I was unemployed and that my ex has been paying our account all along. I furthermore explained that he has unexpectedly been forced to move out of the premises where he has had his business all along due to demolition and upgrade of the entire building. Before the 4th of March I made a payment of R1000. I received an electronic edcon statement on March 13 indicating that I was in arrears of R507.31 and that the total of R1493 must be paid on or before 1st April. Nowhere on this statement did it mention that Edcon was in the process of listing me as a slow payer. Today I RECEIVED THE SMS NOTIFICATION THAT EDCON HAS LOADED A SLOW PAYER LISTING TO THE REGISTERED CREDIT BUREAUX!!! Is this how you reward loyalty? It is utterly disgusting!
