Poor After Sales Service

Shops, Products, Services

I have purchased over R25000 worth of Samsung products for my entertainment system from this store in January 2012, including a television worth R12000. We were then informed by the sales staff that all the products had a 2 year warranty.

Yesterday, 18th March 2013, my television would not switch on. Today, my wife took the television with the original purchase docket to the store. She was told that the television had only a 1 year warranty and since it was up, they could not assist her. The salesman that assisted us with the purchase had moved to another branch and we were misinformed. When she asked to speak to the branch manager, he was unavailable.

Is this the service that loyal patrons should accept, as 90% of my appliances and electronic equipment was purchased from this store? Are their products only supposed to last 1 year or until the "warranty " is up?

I am utterly disgusted at the manner in which we were treated by the staff in this store and the fact that the manager will not address us. We were made to feel dishonest. It is appalling that an international company can treat good customers with disdain and I sincerely hope that Sam Walton is aware of this.
