Unreasonable

I was paying for a pair of mens underwear when the cashier asked if I was sure they were the correct size so I said yes my partner takes Large. He then asked what size he was and I said 34. So he advised to take the medium as that was for sizes 34 to 36 so I took his advice and purchased them. They were in fact the incorrect size and when I returned to exchange them to a Large they refused to as they don't exchange underwear. The manager admitted that they can see they haven't been tried on but still refused. If they had just let me make my own purchase it would have been fine. I spoke to the manager and she was rude and unwilling to assist in any way. I found this shocking service and very unacceptable.
