Foschini - The Worst Customer Service

A month or so ago, my company bought me a gift of a watch, and in it enclosed a photocopy of the receipt (where there were two other items purchased for two other employees as well) so should I wish to exchange the item I could. The original slip gets kept in our files for auditing purposes as it was purchased by the financial manager.

However the watch seemed too big and bulky for me but when I simply went to Foschini and explained this to them at the Eastgate branch where it was purchased the very "intelligent and competent manager " argued with me and told me quite bluntly that because a there were two other items on the slip that the other people would have to bring in their purchases as well and she would credit the entire slip, if not she could not assist me in any way, ...how in the world do you ask other people to return their gifts as well just to have my gift exchanged, is this not a laughably ridiculous request.
Where on earth Foschini do you find such people to manage your store? and how do you hope to create a brand name with outstanding customer service with such poor service???
Greenstone branch asked me to go to Eastgate as they had the originals.
