Pick 'n Pay
OVERCHARGED

Shops, Products, Services

Yesterday i went to buy a can-opener with my usual groceries. At the shelf, two can-openers were priced, R69 and R89. And over both of them, a huge label was stuck to say that it's on special for R29.99. When i got to the cashier / pay point, they refused to give it to me at the displayed special price. The manager, Byron, was extremely arrogant and rude and even implied that i was stupid to have "misread" the pricing on the shelf. After half an hour of him refusing to admit that he was not only misleading me and the rest of his customers; he was highly annoyed and didn't want to admit that he was at fault. He simply said that he doesn't have enough shelf space. But i pointed it out to him, that there was a huge gap on the same shelf to the left, where there was more than ample space to place the labels according to their "correct" pricing, very far apart. The manager blamed it on "head office's huge labels". How, as i am the consumer, is that MY PROBLEM? And why does the manager get to be so arrongant towards clientele, on top of the fact that his shelves aren't spaced "correctly"... AND WILL YOU DO EVERYTHING TO ENSURE THAT IT IS NOT ONLY AVOIDED IN FUTURE, BUT ALSO CORRECTED?
