Shelf price error and no apology

Yesterday in Pick 'n Pay I took 3 bottles of Good Stuff 500ml foam bath that was marked as R10 on the shelf, on paying it was scanning as R29.99. On calling the manager and going with him to the shelf to show him, he then checked the bar code against the price on the shelf's bar code which is printed in a size smaller than a centimetre and said it is not the same product and I have to pay R29.99. The price on the shelf was directly below the products I had taken from the shelf as well as the ones left on the shelf. He did not apologise, but said I should have checked the barcode as that is how it works. What??? Customers are now supposed to check and compare bar codes on products and compare to prices on the shelf? Is that not Pick and Pay's job to ensure the correct prices are displayed??? The description on the price was exactly what I had taken, 500ml Good Stuff foam bath, yet we are now supposed to check bar codes like it I have the time to do that and will go to a shop that puts the customer first and apologises when they are wrong. I will never set foot in a Pick and Pay store again after being treated like I am stupid and do not know what I am talking about.
