Good day,

I had gone into Clicks at Randburg Square to buy a gift and was actually disappointed by the fact that the pricing on the shop floor was incorrect. i had taken a gift bag which was priced at R8.99, which seemed really reasonable. When i goot to the check out, the bag scanned R28.99, even though the price read the former. When i asked the cashier to come and confirm the price on the shelf, she was more than happy to come and see it, saw the error, removed the price from the shelf to show the supervisor and the supervisor said, and i quote, "please ask somebody else to authorise the price override, because i won't do it for you".

What surpised me the most is that the manager was confident enough to say to me, as a customer, that it was the customers' fault the prices are wrong in the store, as if to say that i had moved the pricing label my self. i was then told that I should have checked the barcde to see if the code on the item was the same as the code on the label. It's an insult to my intelligence and a bit arrogant on the part of the manager to assume that I have the time to check that the pricing on every item I come into a store to BUY is correct.
