We had our friend from the US who came over to SA for a business trip. He wanted to do some shopping and buy us presents, we ended up in Red Square Sandton. We purchased fragrances and my friend was flying out the following day and he had to take invoices for tax refund at the airport. I later decided to change my fragrance so i went to Red Square Cresta since i work in the Mall. Upon arrival the consultant hinted that the store manager Bellinda will not allow an exchange, I was puzzled and asked myself why. Indeed Bellinda came and said she needs a slip I could be bringing back a Dischem fragrance I then asked her to scan the product to see if their system will not accept it. She blankly refused to do that and did not even give me a chance to explain what had happen to the slip, she just told me to call Edcon head office if i wish and she left me standing there with the sealed fragrance. The consultants sympathised with me and toldvme that they knew that she wont allow me to exchange. I find that disturbing that a store manager would ensure that customers get frustrated instead of trying to retain customers.
