Damaged goods, followed by outright

At the till, I found that one of my purchased DVDs was damaged, the teller assured me it just needed a clean, and after several minutes, finally found a disc cleaning kit. Despite her efforts, it was indeed heavily scratched. I asked for my money back, as I was in a rush, my late (20:30) movie about to start.

Little did I realize what a rigmarole a refund would be. Keep in mind I had not left the store or anything, I was still standing at the same till. She had to slouch off, and find the manager, Jos, which took a few minutes. Then they took down my details and began trying to open the till. This appeared incredibly difficult, and I kept pointing out I was in a rush, and movie about to start. Jos assured me it would be quick, then asked for patience, and then just ignored me. They had my DVDs, my money, and even my change, and would give me none of these.

After 10 minutes of their fumbling around the till, I stormed out, and only just made my movie, without my refund, DVDs or change.

Jos, who had my cell number, did not SMS me how to get my money back.

Him and the teller just pocketed my money I assume, from me! They clearly had no intention of ever giving a refund.
