Brilliant concept poor execution=Irate consumers

Seemed like a brilliant marketing initiative aimed at boosting consumer purchases and loyalty. When shopping at a SPAR or TOPS store you get a sticker for every R50 spent. The stickers, when added up, can be redeemed for Thomas Knives. Here comes the snag... For 5 weeks we have been trying to get our so called FREE knives. We have been left hopelessly irritated with a NO STOCK excuse driving us insane!!!
We have tried almost every SPAR store from Durban North up to as far as Tiffany's in Salt Rock with no success. Some of the store owners are just down right not interested to help and have the attitude that it's the consumers problem. A call to SPAR H/Q didn't help either. Again NO STOCK as an excuse, no time lines given, only this time we where sent from Umhlanga all the way to Pinetown. No luck there either!
SPAR should take a peek at their About Us page on the web where they claim to "continuously strive to achieve the highest standards of quality." How about the so called "warm and dedicated service" or their "objective of consistently meeting the individual needs of every customer."
Promises VERY far removed from our experiences the last couple of weeks.
