3 year on site warranty - not true - false advert

On 10 January 2013 we bought a new Packard bell Laptop from Makro Vaal. The salesperson (1548 - Mlungisi Twala) pointed out that it was a good buy and showed us the flashy 3 year on site warranty sticker that would make it even more worth while.

Early in Febuary the on bord camera stoped working - Less than 3 weeks after the purchase date.

As my dauther is a student in Stellenbosh she went to Makro Montagu Gardens where a Mr. Clive told her that there is no on site service, they will collect it and send it in for repairs that would take at least 10 working days.

We bought the specific model specialy for the conveniance of a on site warranty as she is a student and will be leaving shortly for Marion Island - therefore we need prompt service as was promised.

I then called Makro vaal, Mrs Carusha Covender told me that the on site warranty only starts from year 2 and that I must call Acer myself to get it fixed, she was not very helpfull.

Mr. Jaques Delport who clearly was briefed by Covender and had the same to say plus that he will contact head office and try and get a answer.

Makro sold me the laptop, they got the profit, they should help fix the problem.
