Delivery Dilema

I bought a couch in cash & paid R4285 including delivery over a week & a half ago.. After several attempts to have it delivered, they ALMOST delivered on Sat 9 Feb. The delivery people came with the couch and left with it as said they only do ground floor deliveries. I live on the 5th floor. If that is the policy why was I not informed? I called their store & the story is that Mr Price uses a third party to do the deliveries. I don't care who does deliveries. If I pay for a product or service I expect to get it. I also operate in an environment where third parties are used, but from a business, client satisfacton, and customer retention perspective the use of third parties should not be the customers concern. To me the service should be seamless. Mr Price blaming this on their third party is poor. My receipt says MR PRICE. I paid money to Mr Price including the delivery money. I called the store and the person I spoke to said they would escalate to their manager. Still waiting. I wonder if they notice that they have my R4000 rand or an extra couch in their stock as they would if I was a case of me owing them R4000 rand??? At this point I just want my money back.
