Having recently returned from living abroad and needing to purchase household goods we were recommended to go to HIRSCH. We popped into Hillcrest, found a fridge which was said to be the latest range and purchased - took out extended warranty and had it delivered. It was dented on delivery - so we contacted the branch where the response was we will give you R800 back on a R14000 fridge to spend in our store! Unhappy with this we asked to speak with the manager of the branch... who never contacted us back regardless of the numerous calls we made. Eventually a second in charge - Pam spoke with us. She informed us they had no stock of this fridge as ours was the last one of discontinued range (supposedly new range) - and that she would refund the R800 once she contact the supplier Defy? We also pointed out that we noted that same fridge was retailing on there website for a much less price we paid! She advised she would look into this and refund. The next day we rang and she responded again with we will be contacting Defy - how is this Defy's issue - we bought from Hirsch. Why are web/store prices different? Why must we be refunded a pathetic R800? Disgusted.
